With the manifest go bag in “hand” (phone, daylight computer, or brain) as you roam the earth or campaign to find your place in HODL. You have calmly iterated your manifest in the comfort of your home to serve as the game plan to filter opportunities as you travel or search for the right alchemy to combine your manifest with the best property to support the goals of how you want to live.  As you roam the earth in your nomad working style, some places will feel right and deserve the effort to test your manifest.  “All we have to do” can be an expensive rationalization while buying a house or property, and you are still in control of your decision.  The “I wish we” is the walk of shame after closing.  This is when your dyslexic friends, who are probably the architects in your life, win; they can see how your life patterns fit with the conditions of the potential property your emotions tell you would be perfect.

SiteFitting for Your HODL House Manifest

As I embarked on my journey to find my place to HODL, I had my trusty Manifest with me, neatly tucked away in my phone or computer or even in my brain. My game plan, roadmap, and guiding light would help me filter opportunities and find the perfect property to support my goals.

I had calmly iterated my Manifest in the comfort of my own home, pouring my heart and soul into it. Now, as I roamed the earth, I could confidently say that I had a clear vision of what I wanted and what I needed to achieve.

But, as I traveled from place to place, searching for the right alchemy to combine my Manifest with the best property, I realized that not every place would feel right. Some would feel like a perfect fit, and I knew I had to test my Manifest against the property's conditions.

As I navigated the world, I encountered various places that sparked my interest. Some were promising, but others were not. I had to stay focused and disciplined, using my Manifest as a filter to analyze the combination of place and vision.

But I also knew that I had to be careful not to fall into the trap of emotional decision-making. I had to remind myself that I was in control of my decision and not just be overcome by the positive vibes of a good adventure in a cool place.

What does it take to find the perfect place to HODL your life? In this next step, we'll explore the concept of SiteFitting, and how to find the ideal site that aligns with your vision and supports your goals.

The components of a house worth HODLing are the individual (you), the combination of the design patterns for your needs, and the land on which the project is designed. The alchemy of these three elements creates your sacred place where you can live, work, and thrive in harmony with the land and the community.

To find the perfect site, you must overlay your Manifest house pattern on a potential piece of land and understand if the land supports the overall vision. This involves considering the properties, natural features, and limitations of the land. How will the sun's orientation coordinate with the house diagram? Are there any zoning restrictions or environmental concerns that could impact your ability to build and live on the land?

Some questions to consider when evaluating a potential site include:

  • What are the land's natural features, such as soil quality, topography, and vegetation?

  • Are there any zoning restrictions or environmental concerns that could impact my ability to build and live on the land? How will the sun's orientation coordinate with the house diagram?

  • Are there any neighboring properties or developments that could impact my quality of life?

  • What utilities and infrastructure are available on the land, such as water, electricity, and sewage?

By carefully evaluating these factors and overlaying your Manifest house pattern on a potential piece of land, you can determine if the land fits your vision and needs. This is where the art of SiteFitting comes in - finding the perfect site that aligns with your vision and supports your goals.

Remember, the house and the land are one design that flows from the home to the property line and beyond the border of the land to the visual property boundaries. By finding the perfect site, you can create a sacred place that supports your lifestyle and allows you to live in harmony with the land and the community.

So, how do you find the perfect place to HODL your life? By following these steps:

1) Define your vision and document it in a personal Manifest.

2) Find a place that sparks your interest and tests your Manifest.

3) Evaluate the site against your Manifest and consider the land's properties, natural features, and limitations.

4) Overlay your Manifest house pattern on a potential piece of land to fit the diagram in the most favorable way to the land to analyze if the alchemy of the land and building happens.

5) Score the results of the site fit so you can compare multiple sites for orientation, view, adjacent properties, constraints, and your love of that land.

6) Collect SiteFits to compare and evaluate when you get home and can make non-emotional decisions.

By following these steps, you can find the perfect place to HODL your life and live in harmony with the land and the community.

As I reflect on my journey, I realize that the true power of HODLing lies not in the physical space itself but in the process of discovery that leads us there. By unraveling the threads of our life patterns, defining our personal Manifest, and SiteFitting our vision, we create an architectural asset that supports the evolution of our quality of life. And as we build this life, we're reminded that sound money values - like the unyielding value of Bitcoin - are the bedrock upon which our HODL House foundations are laid, providing a stable and long-term store of value that allows us to make choices that truly reflect our highest aspirations.
